First and foremost, I believe in the importance of relationships. Only by taking the time to truly get to know a student can I properly support them with such and important process.
While many consultants focus exclusively on high achievers targeting elite schools, I work with students at all academic levels. Not every student has a 4.0, and not every family wants the Ivy League pressure cooker.
I help families find colleges where their child will actually thrive—not just impress. My focus is on genuine fit over rankings, and I only work with 10-12 families per year so everyone gets exceptional attention.
The ideal time is early in junior year, which gives us adequate time for college research, essay development, and strategic planning. However, I also work with families who start in:
Sophomore year: For students who want early guidance and a head start
Fall of senior year: We can still create a strong application strategy, though the timeline is compressed
The earlier we start, the less stressed everyone feels during the actual application season.
Absolutely not! I work with students across the academic spectrum:
High achievers aiming for competitive schools
B students still discovering their strengths
Late bloomers who need someone who believes in them
Students with learning differences
Athletes, artists, and students with unique talents
What matters most is finding the right college fit for each individual student, regardless of their GPA.
My comprehensive packages are connected to when we start working together, and therefore the total amount of time we spend together:
Junior year packages (starting during junior year): $6,000-$8,000
Senior year packages (starting fall of senior year): $4,000-$6,000
During our free consultation, I'll recommend the package that best fits your student's timeline and needs.
Yes! I offer flexible payment plans to make college admissions coaching accessible. We can discuss options during your free consultation.
I limit my practice to just 10-12 families per application cycle (typically 5-6 per year starting in spring, 5-6 starting in fall). This ensures every family receives exceptional personal attention and I'm available when deadlines approach.
Once I reach capacity, I maintain a waitlist for the following cycle.
I'm based in the Boston area, but I work with families nationwide via Zoom. All meetings are virtual, which gives us flexibility in scheduling and allows me to work with students anywhere in the country.
Meeting frequency depends on where we are in the process:
Junior year: Typically every 2-3 weeks
Summer before senior year: Weekly during essay season
Fall of senior year: At least once weekly during application crunch time
After applications submitted: Check-ins as needed
You also have unlimited email access to me throughout our time working together.
Some students are resistant at first. During our initial consultation, I meet with both parents and student to ensure everyone is on board.
My relationship-based approach helps students feel supported rather than pressured. I'm not here to add stress—I'm here to make the process easier and help them tell their authentic story.
That said, the student does need to be willing to engage in the process. If they're actively resistant, it may not be the right time.
No ethical consultant can guarantee admission to specific schools, as admissions decisions are made by the colleges themselves.
What I do guarantee is that we'll create the strongest possible applications, develop a strategic college list with a range of options, and find schools where your student will genuinely thrive.
My goal is not just acceptances—it's finding the right fit where your student will be happy and successful.
Over 20 years, my students have been accepted to a wide range of excellent colleges, from small liberal arts schools to large state universities to highly selective institutions.
More importantly, my students attend colleges where they're thriving—because we focus on fit, not just prestige. Success isn't just about getting in; it's about finding the right place.
While I cant' say that 100% of students get into their top-choice school (and anyone who makes that claim is lying), I will say that the percentage is very high, which is why the majority of my families come from referrals.
During our 30-minute consultation, we'll discuss:
Your student's academic profile and goals
Timeline (when you'd like to start)
Your family's priorities (fit vs prestige, location, budget, etc.)
How I work and what's included
Whether we're a good fit to work together
There's no pressure—it's just a conversation to see if my approach aligns with your needs.
Yes! I've worked with many students with ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, and other learning differences. My approach is flexible and supportive, and I understand the additional challenges these students face during the application process.
